drop rates
i have already posted this at m4a forum, but since the forum is also bugged and i cant see any changes to the topic after i post in them here it goes.
the drop rates are really low nowadays, no idea what happened and its been like this for like 2 weeks now, it started with world mobs. i had a place where in 3 min i could farm 40+ green items to sell and farm gold but now in the same place i can only get 3-5 items between green and grey (mostly grey), and now its the same for dungeons bosses that drop only 2 items, and since everyone wants at least 1 item at each boss to sell for gold its a nightmare of conplainemts, not to talk how hard it got for some items to drop.
could you check this asap pls?

Re: drop rates
Noticed this as well - same thing about farming green items. But you are luckier, "my" mobs drop only cloth and grey items now.
I'm curious as well and I hope they will get fixed. Otherwise... am beggar

Re: drop rates
Well I think it should be this way, it wasn't normal for a mob to drop 10 greens at a time.

Re: drop rates
same here i cant even get decent fly mount, plus other day i helped a guy lvl and he couldnt get gear at all in northerend. thing is for some ppl northerend was the place to gear once you got to lvl68 cause you could just go there kill a few mobs and get full set of decent gear to keep leveling, now you cant, plus it was good to get greens to sell so you could train spells dual talent and get mounts, and to buy few items from AH since prices are insanewoweezowee wrote:You don't understand it, I became poor!

Re: drop rates
i believe this is one stage of deri's plan to restructure sewar. We talked about 2 months ago about that, and he is assured this will help to attract new players and keep them playing longer. But that should have been done before ICC or some other raid opened, now it will not have any effect in my opinion.
And this all is just, if i am not mistaken, first part of something bigger. But i cant say more before it happens or doesnt happen

this is what i think, doing this for exemple when cata comes on server, its ok, ppl wont be max level so fast and will have to do more quest and explore content and it will be more meaningfull to get a certain item and all. but doing it when pve is almost dead and pvp is boring as hell has no sense, there is actually nothing to do now. and at least for some leveling new char, or for me farm some gold for better fly mount would be a way to pass the time when playing, insteead of sitting on dalaran and watch tv at same time, and thats the reason why i dont play more latelly, once or twice a week if so.

Re: drop rates
Aye, wanna get more population? Get cata. And before anyone claims it, I'm not even beginning to suggest that it'll be easy by any means. I know it won't. However, it's the only thing that'll truly save this server because even if we're going for the whole "Only good server with decent WotLK experience" will only last for so long. Sure, SOME people will want to keep playing WotLK but even they'll get bored after a while. If we're talking long term, we need new content. That's an undeniable fact. So that brings us to a cross-roads, we either pursue the newer expansions or we'll be forced to create our own, and the latter not only goes against everything the server stands for but also is less effective since most people don't give a fuck about custom content so you can't market off of that.
Now, what I suggest we do is find a way to motivate players to vote more often. Whether we're talking about a reward system or something, we need to do it. If we can use that to get more popularity, increase our population and hopefully get the staff up to full power and maybe even a fucking developer team so Deri isn't soloing this damn thing anymore. Then use that new manpower to work on getting cata up and running. We'll be able to market that, pull in more population, and we'll see a huge spike in activity. If we pull that off, in theory, we'll not only revitalize the server but probably become the strongest one.
However, easier said then done.

Re: drop rates
I actually agree and suggested vote system long ago.
Sadly I heard "M4A will never have donations or votes. End"

Re: drop rates
Donations, fuck no. Votes, I see nothing wrong with. As long as we're not talking about actually viable gear or shit.

People don't want to vote if there isn't something they could profit from. I'm talking in general, excluding the M4A community, of course.
But to be honest, can we be excluded? No Armada de la Horda or any other similar irrelevant guild will vote. Sad fact: exactly THIS group of brain retarded people is the most common one on our server and de facto is our priority group in votes advertising.
Jackk had a really interesting idea about voting in our guild but I somehow lost any trace of it - he said it will be a must before we go for a raid. So simple calculations: every raid member = 25 votes per raiding day. More raids, more votes etc. ofc. However, I haven't seen a single demand from anyone's side to vote before raiding (true, it was the beginning of the summer holidays, fewer and fewer were playing but still; GNOTD would be nice).
So... maybe one day... Jackk or anyone from high officers... We shall see.
Now back to the first topic: any other guilds cappable of voting on mmore regular basis? The only one relevant on ally side is Lone District (they even advertised it on globals and such, if I remember it correctly). That to be said: 2 guilds in Alliance. wHordies have Murders of Holies and Project horde (?)(dead guild? Haven't seen anyone from there for a while. I don't know anyone else from the opposide faction so I can't really name any other guilds - excludign Cabaleros de Cangre, ANTI NINJA, horda latina etc.) Please add more names of non-brain-dead guilds from there, thanks in advance.
If we get some kind of a pact with these mentioned above, we could get a minimum of 25 votes per day and imagine all 4-5 guilds doing the same every day per week. Bigger numbers, aye?
I didn't bother to count in personal voting because 7 votes/week isn't a big deal; guild voting is simply a must. That to be said...

Re: drop rates
i suggested the same thing few times already, but the answer is always no, no vote system what so ever. here is a example from alex answer to other player about same topic:
- Spoiler:
- I told you in global and I will repeat myself again, your suggestion will hardly be anything else than what it already is right now, a suggestion, an idea. We do not "sell" customization/items/faction changes and alike for votes and we intend to keep it that way. I agree that we need votes to keep the server going but this server was and is one of the few that does not support the "privileges for votes" system that the other servers have established. You should vote to express your love, appreciation and support, not for items or re-customization not to mention that faction changing will damage the balance even more

Re: drop rates
i still support the idea, but thing is i always forget that. We wouldnt be ready till 20:15, then i would wait for people to come infront of marrowgar, and by then voting was completely out of my mind. I have been thinking for few years now, that i might have mild case of alzheimer. I forget so much things, on so much occasions ;\woweezowee wrote:
